  • Governor of New South Wales officially opens Moore’s new building!

    Over 350 people gathered on campus today, to begin a new era in the life of Moore Theological College as it continues in its gospel ministry. The $33 million dollar Learning and Teaching Centre was officially opened and a plaque unveiled by His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales. 

    The verse on the plaque says:

    ‘For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.’ (2 Corinthians 4:5)

  • P&A Conference 2017 - A ministry that builds the church

    The 2017 Priscilla and Aquila Conference was held on Monday January 30 at the College. Our annual conferences have a 2-fold aim: (i) to encourage the ministries of women, and (ii) to think more seriously and creatively about how men and women can serve better together in gospel ministry. 

    Although they are aimed primarily at men and women in vocational ministry, these conferences are also open to lay men and women, and many lay people attend each year.

  • Annual Moore College Lectures 2015 published

    Moore College rejoices in Kevin Vanhoozer’s publication of his book based on the material he presented at the Annual Moore College Lectures 2015. The publication is: Biblical Authority after Babel: Retrieving the Solas in the Spirit of Mere Protestant Christianity. The Moore lecture series was entitled: Mere Protestant Christianity: How Singing sola Renews Biblical Interpretation (and Theology).

  • The Rev. Dr Mike Ovey

    Moore College gives thanks to God for the life and ministry of Dr Mike Ovey, Principal of Oak Hill College, who died suddenly on 7 January at the age of 58. Dr Ovey taught at Moore for three years (1995-98) before returning to the UK to join the Oak Hill faculty. He was appointed Principal in 2007.

    Dr Ovey has been author or contributor to numerous books, has contributed regularly to the journal Themelios, as well as producing many scholarly and popular articles for other journals. He has been … more

  • Moore accessible PTC as further improvements come in 2017

    We’ve just made the PTC better (and more accessible) than ever! The Preliminary Theological Certificate (PTC) has been used for training in churches for more than 75 years. From 2017, the course is more accessible than ever. What’s more, we have reduced our base level fee by 50% (to $45) and opened up multiple methods of delivery to suit different learning styles and needs.

  • Moore offers new women’s ministry study option

    On 5 December, the College announced the launch of a new Advanced Diploma of Bible, Mission and Ministry in 2017. A central feature of this course is the new women’s ministry study stream. It provides the opportunity for students to specialise in women’s ministry.

  • Moore College to offer a new Advanced Diploma of Bible, Mission and Ministry from 2017

    For many years Moore College has offered both a Diploma of Bible and Missions and a Diploma of Bible and Ministry alongside its degree programs. Now these courses have been improved, upgraded into an advanced diploma and combined in the new Diploma of Bible, Mission and Ministry, commencing in Semester 1, 2017.

  • 160th Academic year ends at Moore

    Today Moore College has concluded its 160th academic year. The end of year community chapel service and a community lunch have been held today to mark this occasion. The Exiting students dinner was also held last night to celebrate all that our leaving students have learnt and the friendships they have developed throughout their time at College.
